Welfare Rights Service

Free, impartial and confidentia advice to tenants who require assistance with the Benefit / Social Welfare system. Our team can support tenants with (but not limited to) the following benefits:

Universal Credit
Employment & Support Allowance
Jobseekers Allowance
Income Support
Pension Credit & State Pension
Housing Benefit & Council Tax Reduction
Carer’s Allowance
Scottish Welfare Fund/Community Care Grants/Crisis Grants
All benefits administered by Social Security Scotland

We have a member of the Welfare Rights Team based at the office 5 days per week to provide advice and guidance. Our team are available for appointments during normal office working hours and also offer 2 drop in sessions:

Tuesday - 9:30am – 12:30pm at Parkhead Housing Association, 40 Helenvale Street, Parkhead G31 4TF
Wednesday - 9:30am – 12:30pm at Parkhead Schoolhouse, 135 Westmuir Street, Parkhead G31 5EXA

Home visit can be arranged for anyone unable to attend our office.
